- The Ascot House was originally built in 1892 by Mr W H Baxter as a traditional Victorian family residence. It has now been elegantly transformed into a 19-bedroom hotel.For home-from-home comfort, all bedrooms have en suite bath/shower, well-lit desk, telephone, TV, radio/alarm, hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities and electric blankets. Superior & Four Poster rooms (with trouser press & ironing facilities) are also available (supplement applies). The Ascot Room, a cosy sitting room with open fires in the winter, is the perfect place to enjoy afternoon tea or just curl up with a good book.Relax in comfort in the informal friendly atmosphere of our lounge bar

On booking, a non-refundable deposit of GBP 50 per room will be charged to your credit card. If you cancel or shorten your stay, the balance of the accommodation will be charged to your card unless we are able to re-let the accommodation.- Please note private receptions/dinner parties (with discos until midnight) sometimes take place in the hotel, particularly at weekends and in December. Guests are still welcome to use the bar lounge and have dinner in the dining-room (which is in a separate area of the building). Quieter bedrooms are available on request.- If you experience difficulty in making a reservation or the hotel appears to be fully booked, please call us as bedrooms may have become available. Our latest check-in time is 10. After this time our reception desk is not manned.- Children under 14 sharing a room with 2 adults pay GBP 7.50 each, per night, towards breakfast and linen costs.- All our bedrooms are 'non-smoking'.
