Recently refurbished restaurant and bedrooms with lovely bathrooms,its wealth of paintings, wall hangings and ornaments give that feeling of luxury associated with 5 star accommodation. Fully central heated with traditional open fires in both the residents hall/lounge and lounge bars. There is an a la carte menu available, in Darnells Restaurant served by our Head Chef, Chris Taylor. The elaborate oak panelled function room can comfortably seat up to 100 people, it is an ideal setting for conferences, wedding receptions, business entertaining, parties etc. The Hotel offers accommodation for those who wish to spend a few days in the peaceful atmosphere of the Eden Valley, yet ideally situated for touring the Lake District, Hadrians Wall, Carlisle The Great Border City with its Castle Museum and Cathedral only 20 mins away by car. Not forgetting Gretna Green and the Scottish Borders A credit card is required as a guarantee. If booking is cancelled, the deposit is forfeited. If cancellation is within the 3 day required notice, the full amount will have to be taken. Any cancellation should be done via the internet followed by written confirmation. Unfortunately pets are not allowed, but there are Kennels just down the road.
