Tomich Hotel Beauly Information |
Description:
- A traditional stone-built building, it offers comfortable accommodation, with excellent food and drink. The hotel was formerly the Victorian hunting lodge of Lord Tweedmouth's Estate in the latter half of the 1800's and the 'Golden Retriever' dog was first bred on the estate in the 1860s. Many of the features of the original lodge have been retained, including the blazing log fires, which give the atmosphere a homely feel. You can relax and enjoy afternoon tea or a fine malt whisky by the cosy fireplace in the lounge? The friendly service and Highland hospitality make this a thoroughly enjoyable place to stay. The spacious bedrooms are comfortable, individual in character and well appointed. Each has private en-suite facilities and ground floor bedrooms are available. For even more luxury and comfort, superior bedrooms are also available. Breakfast at The Tomich Hotel will more than prepare you the day ahead, with a wide selection of herbal teas, continental style and cooked options available. Vegetarian breakfasts also feature, as does the opportunity to sample haggis, 'tattie scones' and fruit pudding. The romantic candle-lit restaurant has many original features, including wood panelled shutters, servants' bells and of course, a crackling log fire. The evening menu offers a variety of local and Scottish cuisine to suit all tastes, with vegetarian, vegan or special dietary requirements willingly catered for. Lunch is also served in the dining room
in particular Sunday lunches offer outstanding value for money and are extremely popular. Bar meals are available at lunchtime and in the evenings all dishes are reasonably priced and offer excellent value. A children's menu is available. The comfortable surroundings and cosy fire ensure a pleasant atmosphere in the bar, where children are most welcome. The Trout and Salmon fishing in this area is world famous and there is a fishing theme featuring strongly in the decor. The bar has a varied range of malt whiskies from all over Scotland, along with a fine choice of carefully selected wines to accompany meals.
