- Built circa 1760 as a hotel to provide accommodation for guests wishing to take the waters, Pannanich is situated in a rural position on Pannanich Hill over-looking the Dee valley just over a mile from Ballater. Externally Pannanich is a plain granite house freshened over the centuries. Internally Pannanich changes into a comfortable well appointed hotel + 2 self-catering cottages on site and one larger cottage off site in the centre of Ballater. All hotel rooms are en-suite with shower or bath and shower, and, have all the usual room accessories. The hotel and Cottages are totally non-smoking.The small cottages are equipped to a high standard, with kingsize beds, ensuite bath rooms and stunning views across the beautiful Dee Valley and the larger cottage from high to luxurious standards, featuring a water bed, en-suite bath rooms with Jaccuzzi baths and showers and a first floor lounge with great views from a heated balcony. A 25 deposit, ( non- refundable) will be taken from your card on receipt of the reservation. One twin room / kingsize double is available on the ground floor.Rooms 1, 4, and 5 can either be twin or K/S doubles please let us know how you wish the room to be set.We are happy to provide you with an evening meal ( from a menu) , but must have 24 hours notice of your intention to dine with usNo dogs are allowed.We do not take children under 12No Smoking policy now extends to whole premises.
