- A distinguished member of design hotelsTM. Buci Latin just a few steps from the Gregoire de Tours street market in the midst of the Latin Quarter is one of the most inviting hotels in Paris. Its lobby and intimate basement breakfast room are characterized by an unassuming, but carefully thought-out design which evokes an oh-so desirable feeling of well-being. Each room boasts a unique door, designed by one of 10 different artists. An unusual decor landscape has resulted, in perhaps the only hotel around with a staircase covered in graffiti. As for the hotel itself, its small, easily overlooked from the rue Buci outside, but certainly leaves a large impression with its admiring guests. The Buci Latin has only 27 rooms, distributed eccentrically over six floors of a renovated 18th century building. On the different floors of a typical "Germanopratin" building, each room is delightfully intimate and the charming room sizes are examples of an architectural style from which any idea of straight angels was banished. The beds, however, are definitely late 20th century-in fact they are the utmost in modern comfort-as are the sanitary installations. Please be informed that due to refurbishments the Artus hotel is closed from 01st November 2005 until 28th February 2006.
