Neckarsulm (27000 inhabitants is situated at the confluence of Neckar and Sulm, therefore has the name Neckarsulm. It was documented for the first time in 771 as "Villa Sulmana"
Neckarsulm was probably mostly influenced in earlier centuries by the teutonic order from 1484 to 1805.
