Accommodations at the Renaissance Koh Samui Resort and Spa include deluxe guest rooms, one bedroom suites, one bedroom villas and two bedroom villas. Most rooms have an ocean view and a unique outdoor deck with whirlpool tub. Villas feature a private pool and large living area with separate bedrooms and bath. Two bedroom villas are beachfront. The resort offers a fitness room and lap pool, meeting room, pavilion and pool bars, twenty-four hour in-room dining, upscale restaurants infused with local flavor and the Thevalai Spa. Phase I of the upgrade is scheduled through October 20 2005 in the northern part of the resort and includes all deluxe rooms and the lap pool. The resort's exclusive villas will be available during this time. Phase II of the upgrade is scheduled for October 21-December 10 2005. The resort will reopen the enhanced deluxe rooms and ten villas will be available. The remaining villas will be closed for improvements. The lap pool will also reopen. The beachfront pool and spa as well as resort restaurants will remain in service during both phases of the renovation. • The Renaissance Koh Samui Resort and Spa will be fully operational with all seventy-eight deluxe rooms and villas by December 10 2005. As a result of the renovation, the resort will feature improved fire protection and security systems plus state-of-the-art life and safety features. Accommodations will be upgraded with new furnishings and the new Marriott bedding package to present a more luxurious look and feel. Renovation work will have limited impact on the resort experience for our guests and care is being taken to keep any disruption to an absolute minimum.
